Emma T. Wilson to Hebron Presbyterian Church

On 25 Jan 1892, Emma T. Wilson, who was then living in Lafayette County, Missouri, deeded a lot to the Hebron Presbyterian Church to be used as a residence for its pastors. The deed is shown below.

This deed made and entered into this the 25th day of January 1892 by and between Miss Emma T. Wilson, party of the first part and S. B. Williams, B. F. Pope and Gabe Summers, elders of hte Hebron Presbyterian Church of Bullitt County, Kentucky and their successors in office forever, party of the second part. Witnesseth;

That the first party, for and in consideration of the respect and esteem she has for the said church, and the deep interest she feels in its welfare, and the further consideration on one dollar, cash in hand paid, the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged, has sold and conveyed and hereby sells, conveys and delivers to the said S. B. Williams, B. F. Pope and Gabe Summers, elders aforesaid, and their successors and assigns forever the following described lot or parcel of land in Bullitt County, Kentucky on the pike leading from Shepherdsville to Louisville and being part of Lot 2 in the Mathew Wilson division between his heirs, and including all of the following boundary except the Hebron Church and lot which has heretofore been conveyed to the said church, and is not included in this conveyance. Beginning at a stake on the west side of the turnpike, corner to land sold to John Roberts, thence with a plank fence North 87 3/4° West 51 poles to the end of the plank fence, thence North 25° East 34 poles to a stake in Neil Brooks' line, and with same South 85° for 87 1/4° East 44 3/5 poles to a stake on the west side of the turnpike road, and with the road South 12° West 36 poles to the beginning.

To have and to hold said property to the party of the second part in trust that said premises shall be held, kept and maintained and disposed of as a place of residence for the use and occupancy of the pastors of the said church who may from time to time be called to officiate as said pastor subject to the usage and discipline of said church.

The party of the first part hereby agrees to and with the second party to warrant and defend the title to the property herein conveyed against the claims of all persons whomsoever with covenant of general warranty.
