Crist, Kinnison & Froman to Joseph A. Brooks - 1+ Acre

On 10 May 1844, Henry Crist, A. C. Kinnison and Isaac Froman sold about an acre of land to Joseph A. Brooks on the waters of Bullitt's Lick Run, as shown below.

This indenture made this 10th day of May 1844 between Henry Crist, A. C. Kinnison and Isaac Froman of the county of Bullitt and state of Kentucky of the first part, and Joseph A. Brooks of the county and state aforesaid of the second part. Witnesseth that the said, Crist, Kinnison and Isaac Froman for and in consideration of the sum of $37 in hand paid, the receipt whereof is hereby, acknowledged, hath bargained and sold a certain tract of land in Bullitt County on the north side of Salt River and bounded as follows to wit.

Beginning at a stone and willow on the north bank of Salt River, thence North 22° East four poles to a stone and to a forked maple and sycamore, thence South 83° East 27 poles, 17 links to a maple standing on the bank of Bullitt's Lick Run, thence on same course 30 poles, 17 links to the said branch or run, thence down the same 9 1/5 poles to the mouth thereof, thence down Salt River binding thereon 27 poles to the place of beginning, containing 1 acre and 38 poles, be the same more or less. To have and to hold the same together with all and singular the appurtenances there unto belonging.

And the said Crist, Kinnison and Froman have covenanted with said Brooks that they will forever warrant and defend the title to said land unto the said Brooks, that they will and their heirs shall warrant and defend the sail land forever unto the said Brooks and his heirs forever. In witness whereof they have this day set their hands and seals. [signed by grantors]
