On 30 Dec 1867, Clifton and Ann Hall donated one acre of ground to the Bethel Church trustees. It lay along the road from Mt. Washington to Shepherdsville. While the boundary lines given in the deed do not make sense, it seems clear that this was a square acre along the road.
