In 1819 John Chaddic sold his part of Shepherdsville lot #25 to James Dozier.

This indenture of bargain and sale made and entered into this ninth day of February in the year of our Lord 1819 between John Chaddic and Susannah Chaddic his wife of Bullitt County and state of Kentucky of the one part and James J. Dozier of the county and state aforesaid of the other part.
Witnesseth that the said John Chaddic and Susannah Chaddic his wife for and in consideration of the sum of $1000 to them in hand paid, the receipt of which sum is hereby acknowledged, have this day granted, bargained, aliened and confirmed, and by these presents do grant, bargain, sell, alien and confirm unto the said James J. Dozier and his heirs forever a certain lot of ground situate in the town of Shepherdsville containing fifty feet front and ninety-nine feet five inches back, being the most northwardly part of an half acre lot known in the first plan of said town by the number 20 and in the last plan of said town by the number 25, on which lot is a dwelling house, kitchen, smoke house and well, and the same which was conveyed by deed bearing date the 19th day of May in the year of our Lord 1817 by John Graham and Elizabeth his wife, recorded in the office of the Bullitt County Court, reference being thereto had will more fully appear.
To have and to hold the said lot or parcel of ground together with all and singular the improvements and advantages to the same belonging or in any wise appertaining to the said James J. Dozier and his heir forever. And the said John Chaddic and Susannah Chaddic his wife, for themselves and their heirs do covenant, promise and agree to and with the said James J. Dozier and his heirs that they will and their heirs shall forever warrant and defend to him the said James J. Dozier and his heirs the said lot or parcel of ground with the appurtenances thereunto belonging against the claim of themselves and their heirs and all other persons whatever claiming or pretending to claim the same. In witness whereof the said John Chaddic and Susannah his wife have hereunto set their hands and affixed their seals the day and year before written.
