Bullitt County 1950 Census - E.D. #4b

Images of the 1950 census pages are available on the official government website, and have been "read" via OCR software, making it possible to locate people within limits. While the software has done a pretty good job, some handwriting has created issues, making it difficult to always find the person you seek.

For this reason we have completed a limited transcription including the names and ages of the occupants on the pages for Bullitt County. Below you will find our efforts for the eastern part of Enumeration District 4.

Due to the topography of the district, it was divided into two parts. Part B was the easternmost section, bordered on the east by the railroad. Essentially it began at the northern city limits of Shepherdsville, traveled north through Gap in Knob and up Coral Ridge Road to the county limits. It then returned southward to the Blue Lick Road and surveyed both sides of that road, including side roads such as the one traveling up into Blue Lick Creek Hollow. The general area is mostly displayed on this combined portions of two topographic maps of that era. A large version of this map is located at the bottom of this page.
