On 19 Jan 1853, Zaddok L. Brown sold his part of a 200 acre tract to Wilhite Carpenter as shown below. Carpenter would continue to own the tract until 1892, when he sold it to Elijah McCubbins.

This indenture made this 19th day of January in the year of our Lord 1853 between Zaddock L. Brown of the County of Bullitt and State of Kentucky of the first part and Wilhite Carpenter of the county and state aforesaid of the second part.
Witnesseth that the said party of the first part for and in consideration of the sum of $400 to the said party of the first part by the party of the second part, in hand paid, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, has granted, bargained and sold, and by these presents doth grant, bargain, alien, sell, convey and confirm unto the said party of the second part, his heirs and assigns forever, all the following described pieces or parcels of land on the south side of Salt River and known as the Pine Tavern tract containing two hundred acres more or less, and bounded as follows, to wit.
Beginning at two white oaks in Makey's line, thence N 30° W 246 poles to a white oak and poplar, thence S 53° W 133 poles to a stake, thence S 30° E 246 poles to a stake in Mackey's line, thence with Mackey's line N 53° E 133 poles to the beginning, surveyed for John Carr for 200 acres, together with all the rights, privileges and appurtenances thereunto belonging.
To have and to hold the above described premises with all the improvements and appurtenances to the same belonging to the said party of the second part, his heirs and assigns forever, and the said party of the first part for himself and his heirs does hereby covenant with the said party of the second part and his heirs that he is lawfully seized in fee of the premises aforesaid, and have good right, full power and lawful authority to sell and convey the same in manner aforesaid; that the premises are free from all incumbrance whatsoever, and that he will forever warrant and defend the same and the quiet and peaceable possession thereof together with the appurtenances to the same belonging or appertaining unto the said Wilhite Carpenter, his heirs or assigns against the lawful claims of all persons whomsoever, except the land now claimed and owned by F. Burch and the line of division as agreed on and run by said Brown and Burch and beginning as follows, to wit, on a pine and white oak on a knob, thence down the knob S 71° W 133 poles across the road from Shepherdsville to Elizabethtown near a branch to two white oaks and a chestnut oak on a back line of John Harris' old survey, and this deed from Zaddock L. Brown to W. Carpenter does not include the land last mentioned, now owned and occupied by F. Burch.
In witness whereof the said Zaddock L. Brown and Elizabeth his wife who hereby relinquishes her right of dower to the above described premises, have hereunto set their hands and seals the day and year first written. (signed by the Browns)
