In 1792, Joseph Brooks deeded this 200 acres to Moses Moore. It was recorded on 1 Oct 1793. It was the same 200 acres patented to Brooks as assignee of William Allen in 1788.

This indenture made this __ day of __ one thousand seven hundred and ninety two between Joseph Brooks and Ann Brooks his wife of Jefferson County and the District of Kentucky of the one part and Moses Moore of the same county and district of the other part. Witnesseth that the said Joseph Brooks and Ann Brooks his wife for and in consideration of the sum of two hundred pounds to them in hand paid, the receipt whereof they do hereby confess and acknowledge, have given, granted, bargained and sold and by these presents do give, grant, bargain and sell unto the said Moses Moore, his heirs and assigns, two hundred acres of land situate lying and being in the said county of Jefferson and patented in the name of Joseph Brooks assignee of William Allen, being on the north side of Salt River adjoining Myers' preemption of four hundred acres and bounded as followeth, to wit. Beginning at the northeast corner of said Myers' at a white oak and beech N 35° W 42 poles to a beech near a road, West 86 poles to a white oak and small elm, N 45° W 28 poles to a small hickory and beech, N 80° W 140 poles to four white oaks on a ridge, S 20° E 268 poles to three hickories in Myers' back line and with said line N 55° E 110 poles to a red oak in Myers' line & with the same N 35° W 40 poles to a red oak, corner to said Myers & with his back line N 55° E 136 poles to the beginning. To have and to hold the two hundred acres of land with all and singular the appurtenances belonging or in any wise appertaining unto Moses Moore, his heirs and assigns, to the only proper use, benefit and behoof of him the said Moses Moore, his heirs and assigns, forever. And the said Joseph Brooks doth hereby covenant that is is now seized of an absolute and indefeasable estate of inheritance in the said two hundred acres of land and that he will warrant and forever defend the same unto the said Moses Moore, his heirs and assigns, against the claims of all persons whatsoever. In witness whereof the said Joseph Brooks and Ann Brooks his wife have hereunto set their hands and affixed their seals the day and year first above written. (signed) Joseph Brooks
