On 15 Dec 1833, Samuel and Charlotte Benthall sold their share of the estate of Adam Shepherd to Benjamin Chapeze, as shown below.

This indenture made and entered into this 15th day of December in the year 1833 between Samuel Benthall and Charlotte G. his wife, now of the county of Bullitt and state of Kentucky of the one part and Benjamin Chapeze of the county of Nelson and state aforesaid of the other part.
Witnesseth That whereas Adam Shepherd, late of Bullitt County, lived on and owned a tract of land on Long Lick Creek patented to himself and others containing about 1000 acres more or less, part of which has been heretofore sold and deeded by the heirs of Shepherd to said Chapeze, heretofore the said Shepherd has departed this life leaving heirs at law.
Now in consideration of the sum of $780 to the said Benthall and wife in hand paid by the said Chapeze, the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged, have bargained and sold unto the said Chapeze all their undivided interest in and to the aforesaid tract of land that was held and that belonged to the said Shepherd by deed or bond, in other words that to by legal or equitable titles.
To have and to hold the said undivided interest as aforesaid unto the said Chapeze, his heirs and assigns forever. And the said Benthall and wife covenant and agree to and with the said Chapeze that they will and their heirs shall warrant and defend the said undivided interest in the before mentioned tract of land against the claim of themselves and their heirs, and all and every person or persons lawfully claiming or to claim the same.
