On 1 Sep 1857 the heirs of Aquilla Hoskins signed this deed effectively securing the ownership of 100 acres on Wilson Creek to the descendants of John Hoskins. These two branches of descendants of Ephraim and Jane Dragoo were clearing up the ownership of one of two tracts of 100 acres each that William Shain had sold to Dragoo back in 1804. In the process they provided us with information for a three generation descendant chart as shown below.

Whereas on the 19th day of October 1804 William Shain and Mary his wife conveyed to Ephraim Dragoo two tracts of land containing one hundred acres each, which deeds are recorded in deed book A Bullitt County Court, pages 392 & 393 which are reported to for boundary, since which time the said Ephraim Dragoo has departed this life leaving Margaret who married Aquilla Hoskins, Mary who married John Hoskins, and Lewis Dragoo who are his only children.
And since which time Margaret Hoskins and Aquilla Hoskins her husband have both departed this life leaving the following children and heirs: Elizabeth who has married Samuel French, John Hoskins, Mary Porter and Patrick Porter her husband, George Hoskins, Rose who has married Richard Hart, James Hoskins and Joseph Hoskins.
And Mary Hoskins and John Hoskins her husband have also departed this life leaving the following children and heirs: Jane who has married Gabriel Pearl, Rose who has married Constantine Warren, Pricilla who has married Matthew Pearl and Isabella Hoskins.
And it appears that since the death of Ephraim Dragoo and Jane his wife Margaret Hoskins and Aquilla her husband lived up to their death on the one hundred acres on the Rolling Fork of Salt River at the mouth of Crooked Creek; And Mary Hoskins and John Hoskins her husband has lived since the death of said Ephraim Dragoo and Jane his wife on the one hundred acres of land on Wilson's Creek.
And Lewis Dragoo the third heir aforesaid of Ephraim Dragoo on the 21st day of September 1843 conveyed his interest, being one-third of the one hundred acre tract lying on the Rolling Fork to John Hoskins, one of the children of Aquilla Hoskins, to be for the benefit of all the children and heirs of Aquilla Hoskins and wife.
And the parties all wishing to confirm the title to the heirs of Aquilla Hoskins and wife of the one hundred acres on the Rolling Fork at the mouth of Crooked Creek, and to the heirs of John Hoskins and Mary his wife the one hundred acres on Wilson Creek; Now in consideration of the premises and the further consideration of the sum of one dollar cash in hand paid by the said Jane Pearl and Gabriel Pearl her husband, Rose Warren and Constantine Warren her husband, Percilla Pearl and Mathew Pearl her husband, and Isabella Hoskins of the first part unto Elizabeth French and Samuel French her husband, John Hoskins, Mary Porter and Patrick Porter her husband, George Hoskins, Rose Hart and Richard Hart her husband, James Hoskins and Joseph Hoskins, the receipt of which they the party of the first part doth hereby acknowledge, they the party of the second part doth hereby transfer and convey unto the party of the first part, their heirs and assigns, all their undivided right, title and interest, being one-third of the one hundred acres of land lying on Wilson Creek and being the same one hundred and the same tract of land conveyed by William Shain and wife to Ephraim Dragoo by deed bearing date the 19th day of October 1804 and of record in Deed Book A, page 393, Bullitt County Court will show the boundary.
To have and to hold said undivided one-third of the said one tract or parcel of land containing one hundred acres more or less unto the said Jane Pearl, wife of Gabriel Pearl, Rose Warren, wife of Constantine Warren, Percilla Pearl, wife of Mathew Pearl, and Isabella Hoskins against the claim of Elizabeth French and Samuel French her husband, John Hoskins and Kitty his wife, Mary Porter and Patrick Porter her husband, George Hoskins, Rose Hart and Richard Hart her husband, James Hoskins and Rose Hoskins his wife, and Joseph Hoskins and their heirs, and all other persons claiming or to claim the said interest here conveyed, being the undivided third of the one-hundred acres aforesaid lying on the waters of Wilson Creek.
In witness whereof the said Elizabeth French and Samuel French her husband, John Hoskins and Kitty his wife, Mary Porter and Patrick Porter her husband, George Hoskins, Rose Hart and Richard Hart her husband, James Hoskins and Rose his wife and Joseph Hoskins hath hereunto set their hands and seals this 1st day of September 1857.
