Sale of Angus Cameron's 147 Acre Tract

Following the division of John Cameron's 1000 acre tract, the part going to his son Angus Cameron was sold by John Jr. and Archibald Cameron, as commissions for Angus, to their mother, the widow Jannet Cameron. She then sold the tract to her son John Jr., as shown below.

This indenture made this twenty fourth day of April in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and ninety eight between John Cameron and Archibald Cameron of Bullitt County and State of Kentucky, commissioners acting in behalf of Angus Cameron of the one part and Jannet Cameron Sr. of Bullitt County and state aforesaid of the other part. Witnesseth that the said John Cameron and Archibald Cameron do as commissioners under the direction of an act for the purpose made over at the right claim and interest of the above Agus Cameron in and to a certain tract of land containing one hundred and forty seven acres, being said Augus's lot of a preemption obtained by John Cameron deceased and which the said Jannet Cameron purchased at pubic sale held according to the requisition of the act directing it for and in consideration of the sum of ninety one pounds, seventeen shillings and six pence paid in hand, the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged, and said land is bounded as follows, viz.

Beginning at a white oak and a black oak in the South line of the preemption and thence South eighty degrees E one hundred and seventy four poles to a dogwood and gum, thence North ten degrees East one hundred and thirty six poles to an ash and white oak, thence North eighty degrees West one hundred and seventy four poles to a dogwood and elm, thence South ten degrees West one hundred and thirty six poles to the beginning; which tract of land we bind ourselves as commissioners for Angus Cameron & warrant and forever defend unto the above Jannet Cameron Sr. heirs &c against any person or persons claiming it by virtue of Angus Cameron ?? This indenture made the twenty fourth day of April in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and ninety eight between Jannet Cameron of Bullitt County in the State of Kentucky of the one part and John Cameron of the county and state aforesaid of the other part. Witnesseth that the said Jannet Cameron doth covenant, bargain, sell and make over all her right claim and interest in and to a certain tract of land containing one hundred and forty seven acres unto John Cameron aforesaid for and in consideration of the sum of ninety one pounds, seventeen shillings and six pence, paid in hand, the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged, and bounded as followeth, vist.

Beginning at a white oak and black oak in the South line of John Cameron deceased preemption of which this tract is a part, thence South eighty degrees East one hundred and seventy four poles to a dogwood and gum, thence North ten degrees East one hundred and thirty six poles to an ash and white oak, thence North eighty degrees West one hundred and seventy four poles to a dogwood and elm, thence South ten degrees West one hundred and thirty six poles to the beginning; Which tract of land I hereby bind myself, my heirs &c to warrant and forever defend unto John Cameron, his heirs &c against any person or persons claiming it under me or by virtue of my right.
