Alonzo C. Kinnison to John R. Kinnison - 62 Acres

In this deed, Alonzo C. Kinnison transferred ownership of 62 acres to his son, John R. Kinnison of 21 Aug 1870. This land lay west of Jacob Froman's 1670 Acre Tract.

This indenture made and entered into this 21st day of August 1870 between Alonzo C. Kinneson of the first part and John R. Kinnison of the second part, all of Bullitt County, Kentucky.

Witnesseth that the party of the first part for and in consideration of the sum of one dollar to him in hand paid, the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged, has this day granted, bargained, and sold, and do by these presents alien, release and convey unto the party of the second part, all right, title, and interest which the party of the first part, his heirs and assigns now have or may hereafter have to a certain tract or parcel of land lying and being situated on the waters of Salt River near Kinnison's Branch, bounded as follows.

Beginning at a fallen beech, anciently marked, the three dogwoods gone and known as Kinnison and Moore's corner, thence with Kinnison's line North 68 1/4° East 245 poles to a large sycamore, thence North 45 1/2° East 18 poles to a stake in Kinnison's line, North 21 1/2° West 46 poles to a stake, South 68 1/4° West 260 poles to a beech and stake supposed to be in Kinnison and Chamber's line on the side of a hill, thence South 24° West 38 1/8 poles to the beginning, containing 62 acres be the same more or less.

To have and to hold unto the party of the second, his heirs and assigns with covenant of general warranty. The party of the first part, his heirs and assigns warrants and defends the party of the second part, his heirs and assigns in the peaceable possession of the same against the claim or claims of all persons whatsoever. In testimony, whereof the party of the first part has hereunto set his hand and seal the __ day of __ 1870.
