Identify This Flood

The following picture was taken, probably from the railroad track, during a flood at the old Shepherdsville High School campus. We are trying to determine what year this occurred.

Pictured to the far left is the old high school gym which was destroyed by fire in April 1966, so we know this picture was taken earlier than that. To the right of the gym is the old school building, and behind and to the right of it is the main school. In the foreground on the right is a house that still stands.

Below is a closer image of the school portion of the picture, which may help to determine when the picture was taken. If you can help us determine when this flood happened, please use this "Contact Us" link and send us a message; or call the museum at 502-921-0161.
