The following charts attempt to give us a picture of the changes we have seen in the political landscape of Bullitt County over the last three decades. The first chart shows us the difference between registered voters and those who actually cast ballots.
The next chart compares registered voters by party affiliation from year to year.

While the previous charts reflected actual numbers of voters, the next one shows registered voters by party affiliation as a percentage of the whole group.
And this one shows those who actually voted as party affiliation percentages.
From these numbers and percentages we can see that as the county's population has grown over the last three decades, it has gone from being predominantly Democratic to a more balanced division.
The Bullitt County History Museum, a service of the Bullitt County Genealogical Society, is located in the county courthouse at 300 South Buckman Street (Highway 61) in Shepherdsville, Kentucky. The museum, along with its research room, is open 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. Saturday appointments are available by calling 502-921-0161 during our regular weekday hours. Admission is free. The museum, as part of the Bullitt County Genealogical Society, is a 501(c)3 tax exempt organization and is classified as a 509(a)2 public charity.
