On 28 Sep 1870, Wesley Phelps sold part of Shepherdsville lot #25 to Mary Samuels, widow of Charles R. Samuels, as shown below.

This indenture made and entered into this 28th day of September 1870 by and between Wesley Phelps and Nancy F. his wife of the county of Bullitt and state of Kentucky of the first part and Mary Samuels of the county and state aforesaid of the second part.
Witnesseth that the said parties of the first part for an in consideration of the sum of $800, all of which is in hand paid except the sum of $60.60, and for which latter sum the said party of the second part has this day executed her note payable 12 months after date with interest, have granted, bargained and sold and by these presents do grant, bargain, and sell unto the said party of the second part, her heirs or assigns forever by this deed of general warranty the following house and lot in Shepherdsville, Bullitt County, Kentucky, to-wit: the office house and lot formerly owned by R. H. Field and bounded as follows.
Beginning at a point 39 feet, 4 inches from the northwest corner of the clerk's office of the Bullitt County and Circuit Courts, running thence with Main Street 83 feet, 4 inches to the corner of Joseph Collier's lot, thence east with said Collier's line 85 feet, 3 inches to lot now owned by A. H. Field, thence south with said Field's line 84 feet to E. H. McCormick's line, thence in a direct line west to the beginning.
To have and to hold the same unto the said party of the second part and their heirs forever. It is further agreed that whatever sum may be due on said property to the Kentucky Insurance Company for insurance on said property up to this time is to be borne and paid by the said party of the first part, and the property hereby conveyed released from the payment thereof. In witness whereof the said parties of the first part have hereto set their hands and seals.
