Susan J. Anderson purchased three acres along the west side of the railroad at an auction of her brother James H. Anderson's estate. She, along with her niece and nephew, then sold it to R. H. Thompson and E. H. McDonald who were acting as trustees for a group of Louisville investors as shown below.
The three acres would be to the left of the railroad tracks and the 47 acre tract shown on this drawing.

This indenture entered into this 4th day of June, 1872 between Susan J. Anderson, Susan B. Shain, and Phillip Lee Shain of Bullitt County, parties of the first part by W. J. McConathy, master commissioner of Bullitt Circuit Court, and R. H. Thompson and E. H. McDonald, trustees, parties of the second part, and James H. Huber, Robert Atwood, C. O. Smith, S. M. Lamont and W. F. McCormick company the firm of Lamont and McCormick, E. H. Paine, G. H. Moore, J. P. McAfee, E. H. McDonald, J. Charles Canon, R. H. Thompson, M. Muldoon, Bennett H. Young and R. A. Robinson, all of the city of Louisville, parties of the third part.
Witnesseth that whereas a petition was filed on the 23rd day of March 1867 by Susan J. Anderson, administratrix of James H. Anderson, dec'd, plaintiff against Susan Anderson and others, devisees and creditors of said James H. Anderson dec'd defendants, seeking a settlement of the estate of said James H. Anderson dec'd, and asking a sale of sufficient portion of his real estate to pay his indebtedness. And whereas on the 22nd day of October 1868 a judgment of said court was rendered in said cause ordering a sale of as much of the real estate mentioned in pleadings as necessary to pay the indebtedness of said estate, and W. J. McConathy was appointed a commissioner to make said sale.
And whereas on the 7th June 1869, a judgment was entered appointing H. B. North, George C. Shanklin and W. B. M. Brooks commissioners to lay off the interest of J. H. Anderson in the land mentioned in the pleadings and permitting them to employ a surveyor to make a survey of same &c. And whereas on the 21st day of October 1869, an order wsa entered confirming the commissioners and surveyor's report filed in office, 26 August 1869 and directing the commissioner to sell that portion of the land allotted to James H. Anderson's estate, or as much thereof as may be necessary to pay the indebtedness of said estate as ordered and directed by the former decree &c.
And whereas said W. J. McConathy, commissioner, after advertising as directed, did offer for sale at public auction to the highest bidder the land in petition, exhibits and judgment and survey mentioned, or as much thereof as necessary to may the amount of indebtedness &c; and Susan J. Anderson being the highest bidder became the purchaser of three acres of said land; said three acres to be taken in that portion of the tract lying west of the railroad as shown by plat, running from the line along the railroad westward with the lines of survey, for the sum of $44.00 and executed her bonds for equal moieties with S. A. McKay surety; all of which was reported by said commissioner to said court on 18th April 1870.
And whereas on the 21st day of April said report of sale was confirmed &c, and whereas on the 3rd day of June 1872, R. H. Thompson and E. H. McDonald filed in court a conveyance to them from Susan J. Anderson of her right, title and interest to the three acres of land purchased by her under judgment herein, and on motion of said Thompson and McDonald the master commissioner of this court is directed to convey said tract of land to them as trustee for J. H. Huber, G. H. Moore, E. H. Paine, Robert Atwood, C. O. Smith, J. Charles Canon, S. M. Lamont and W. F. McCormick company constituting the firm of Lamont and McCormick, J. P. McAfee, M. Muldoon, Bennett H. Young and R. A. Robinson.
Now in consideration of the premises and the further consideration of the payment in full of said bonds of Susan J. Anderson as shown by receipt on said bonds and the further consideration of the payment b said Thompson and McDonald of the sum of $100 to said Susan B. Anderson, and the sum of $125 to be paid said Susan J. Anderson as evidenced by the note of said R. H. Thompson in sixty days from date of said conveyance, the parties of the first part by W. J. McConathy, master commissioner of Bullitt Circuit Court do hereby grant, bargain, sell and convey unto R. H. Thompson and E. H. McDonald and their heirs and assigns, and to the heirs and assigns of the survivors of them for the use and trusts herein after mentioned, all the right, title and interest of the said Susan J. Anderson, Susan B. Shain and Phillip Lee Shain in and to the said tract of three acres of land, it being part of the land in petition, exhibits, judgments, surveys and commissioner's report mentioned and described in commissioner's report of sale as "three acres of the tract lying west of the railroad as shown by plat, said three acres to be taken from the line along the railroad westward with the lines of survey." Reference is here made to said report and deed of Susan J. Anderson to R. H. Thompson and E. H. McDonald, the said deed filed in court the 3rd day of June 1872.
To have and to hold said three acres of land unto the parties of the second part, their heirs and assigns, and the heirs and assigns of the survivors of them for the use and benefit of the parties of the third part, their heirs and assigns forever. And the said commissioner warrants said title as fully as he can without incurring any individual responsibility.
