1852 Shepherdsville Town Judge & Marshall Election

On 4 May 1852, the male citizens of Shepherdsville met at the courthouse to elect a police judge and a town marshall for Shepherdsville. The candidates for police judge were W. B. Holsclaw and Lorenzo Hogland, while Loyd Friddle and William T. Byrne were running for town marshall.

As all elections at that time were open with each voter announcing his choices aloud, we are able to know how they voted as it is recorded in the county deed book, as shown below.
