On 12 Nov 1859, Robert F. Samuels sold his share of a 138 tract along Long Lick Creek to William Wilson, as shown below. He had obtained the land as a purchaser in a court suit between Ben Hardin and Elizabeth Chapeze.

For and in consideration of the sum of $552, $257.80 of which is in hand paid and the balance of $294.20 to be paid in 12 months with interest thereon from this date, we Robert F. Samuels and Malinda his wife do sell and convey unto William Wilson, his heirs and assigns forever with covenant of general warranty, ten-twelfths of a certain tract or parcel of land, lying, and being in the county of Bullitt on the waters of Long Lick Creek and lying south of the Chapeze farm; the whole tract containing 138 acres and is represented by plat filed in the Bullitt Circuit Court in the case of Ben Hardin's executors against Elizabeth Chapeze &c; the other two-twelfths of said tract belongs to Adam and Ben Chapeze. In case said Wilson ever loses this land or any part thereof, said Samuels is to refund the purchase money to said Wilson as follows: at $3 per acre for the first four-twelfths and $6 per acres for the balance of six-twelfths, both of said sums to be refunded without interest.
