On 15 Jan 1851, Robert F. Samuels sold his part of Shepherdsville lot 23 to Thomas A. Mitchell as shown below.

This indenture made this 15th day of January 1851 between Robert F. Samuels and Melinda, his wife of the one part and Thomas A Mitchell of the other part, all of the county of Bullitt and state of Kentucky.
Witnesseth that the said Samuels for and in consideration of the sum of $50 in hand paid, the said Samuels and wife have sold and by these presents doth sell and convey to the said Mitchell, his heirs and assigns, the following part of lot number 23 in the new plan in the town of Shepherdsville, being 39'5" front on the southwest corner of said lot number 23 and running back on the line of the alley 73 feet, being that part of lot number 23 conveyed by Julia Murray to R. F. Samuels by deed dated the 20th day of April 1848 recorded in Deed Book L, page 266, Bullitt County Court.
To have and to hold the lot or parcel of ground to the said Thomas A. Mitchell, his heirs and assigns forever against the claim of the said Samuels and wife, their heirs and assigns and against the claim or claims of all persons claiming or to claim the same. In testimony, whereof the said Samuels and wife have hereto set their hands the day and date first written. (signed by grantors)
