We discovered in Deed Book G, page 252 and pages 290-291, the following election results. Unlike previous listings, this report only identifies those elected, and does not list the voters and how they voted.
Bullitt County Deed Book G, Page 252
I, James A. O'Bryan do certify that on the 2nd Monday in August 1830 at the house of Abraham Jobe the following gentlemen was elected as trustees of Mt. Washington, to-wit, William Stephens, David Wilson, John Alexander, Jacob Fox, William Barnes; which gentlemen was elected on the above day. (signed) James a. O'Bryan, clerk of the Trustees of Mt. Washington, November 18th, 1830.
The within was sworn to before me by James O'Bryan this 18th day of November 1830. Given under my hand &c. (signed) W. W. McCroskey, J.P.B.C.
State of Kentucky, Bullitt County Clerk's Office Sct, 19 November 1830 The foregoing certificate of the election of trustees for the town of Mt. Washington in said county for the year commencing 2nd Monday in August 1830 was this day returned to me, the clerk of said court, for record, whereupon the same is truly recorded in my office as by law required. Bullitt County to-wit, November 10th, 1830
This John Alexander, Jacob Fox, William Stephens, William Barnes and David Willson personally appeared before the subscriber, a Justice of the Peace for said county, and took the oath of office as trustees of Mt. Washington according to law. Given under my hand and seal. (signed) W. W. McCroskey, J.P.B.C.
Bullitt County to-wit, June 14th 1831
This day Jacob Fox personally appeared before the subscriber, a Justice of the Peace for said county, and made oath as one of the trustees of Mt. Washington, and being appointed by that body as assessor did take in a list of all the taxable property in said town, and valued he same to the best of his skill and abilities. Given under my hand and seal. (signed) W. W. McCroskey, J.P.B.C.
State of Kentucky, Bullitt County Court Clerk's Office, 18 July 1831
The foregoing certificate of the trustees of Mt. Washington in Bullitt County, Kentucky, having taken the oath as trustees of said town, and the certificate of the assessor having taken the oath required by law, was produced to me in my office for record by W. W. McCroskey, a trustee, whereupon I have recorded the same in my office. Teste. N. C. Summers, Clerk.
