Recently we discovered in Deed Book G, page 130, the following election results.
The candidates are listed below. The capital letter preceding each name is used to identify him in the voting chart below.

We have attempted to duplicate the chart as it was written in the deed book. It appears that each voter announced his five choices, and the election clerk kept a running total as each voter's choices were listed. There are two errors in the tally, but they do not affect the outcome.

The entry concluded with this statement: "Bullitt County Sct. I Nathaniel P. Saunders, a Justice of the Peace in and for the county aforesaid, do certify that on the 24th day of August 1829 Jacob Fox, John Alexander, Abraham Jobe and William Lee came personally before me and took the oath required by law as trustees of the town of Mount Washington in the county aforesaid for one year ending on the 2nd Monday in August (next) 1830. I further certify that Samuel Bell did on this day take the oath as required by law as trustee of the aforesaid town for and during the same period. Given under my hand and seal this 3rd day of September 1829. (signed) Nat. P. Saunders, J.P.B.C. "
