On 18 Sep 1847, Julia Murray, executrix and devisee of Joseph R. Murray, sold parts of Shepherdsville lots 23-24 to John J. Thompson as shown below.

This indenture made this 18th day of September 1847 between Julia Murray, executrix and devisee of Joseph R. Murray, deceased of one part and John J. Thompson of the second part.
Witnesseth that the said Julia Murray, for and in consideration of the sum of $545 paid she said Julia Murray has sold and conveyed, and by these presence does sell, convey and confirm unto the said John J. Thompson, and to his heirs and assigns forever the following lots or parcels of ground in the town of Shepherdsville, Bullitt County, Kentucky, being part of lots numbers 23 and 24 in the new plan of said town and described and bounded as follows.
One lot called the blacksmith shop fronting Main Cross Street, which is 37 feet front on Main Cross Street and runs back north 25 feet; and the other lot is on Main Cross Street 83 feet front and runs with the shop and back and north of the shop 15 feet back of the shop lot and 120 feet on the back line next to Kalfus' lot and to the jail and with the jail line to the Main Cross Street 40 feet.
The whole two lots will then be found bounded as follows: beginning at the northwest corner of the old brick jail and corner to Kalfus', thence South 6 1/2° West 40 feet to the north line of Main Cross Street and with Main Cross Street North 83 1/2° West 120 feet to stake on Main Cross Street 39'5" from the corner of lot number 23, the course of the town lots North 6 1/2° East 40 feet to the corner of Kalfus' lot and thence with Kalfus' lot South 83 1/2° East 120 feet to the beginning.
The said piece of ground here conveyed is the same conveyed by Jonathan Gore and wife to said Joseph R. Murray, by deed dated 18 March 1829 recorded in Bullitt County Court office in Deed Book G, page 63 for the shop lot; and by deed dated the 13 October 1833 from said John J. Thompson to said J. R. Murray recorded in said office in book H page 14 shows the balance here sold with its appurtenances.
To have and to hold the said lots and parts of lots here sold unto him they said John J. Thompson, and to his heirs and assigns forever and said Julia Murray, for herself, her heirs, &c covenants and agrees to, and with said John J. Thompson and his heirs, &c to warrant and defend the lots and appurtenances here conveyed unto him the said John J. Thompson, and to his heirs and assigns forever against the claims of all persons whatever. Witness the hand and seal of the grantors the date first herein written. (signed) Julia Murray
