William T. Morrow for W. B. M. Brooks to R. E. McDowell - 2 Tracts

On 12 Sep 1893, William T. Morrow, as assignee of W. B. M. Brooks, and as plaintiff in a circuit court suit in which Brooks was a defendant, sold two tracts of Brooks' land to R. E. McDowell, as shown below. These appear to be the tracts located west of the railroad tracks on the drawing shown below.

Bullitt County Deed Book 31, Pages 174-175

This indenture made this 9th day of September in the year 1895 between W. T. Morrow, assignee of W. B. M. Brooks &c by R. F. Hays, commissioner of the Bullitt circuit court of the one part and R. E. McDowell of the other part.

Witnesseth that whereas by a judgment of the Bullitt circuit court rendered at the March term 1893 of said Court in an action number 1122 pending in said Court, wherein W. T. Morrow and others were plaintiffs and W. B. M. Brooks and others were defendants it was ordered and adjudged that the property hereinafter described be sold and R. F. Hays, special commissioner of said court, was directed to make the sale, which was accordingly made as directed in said judgment on the 12th day of June 1893, and R. E. McDowell became the purchaser of said property at his bid of $1410 and said commissioner having made his report of said sale at the September term 1893 of said court, and the same having been confirmed at said term by a further order of said court, and the purchase money having been paid, said R. F. Hays was at the September term 1895 of said court appointed commissioner to convey said property for and on behalf of the said parties of the first part to the said R. E. McDowell.

Now for and in consideration of the premises aforesaid W. T. Morrow, assignee of W. B. M. Brooks &c, by said R. F. Hays, commissioner, do hereby sell and convey to the said R. E. McDowell, his heirs and assigns, the following described property situated and being in the county of Bullitt and state of Kentucky, and bounded as follows, viz.

Lot 6. Beginning at a stone in the original line and in the West line of the railroad land at G on plat, thence South 2 3/4° West 87 poles with the West line of the railroad to a stone in set line, then North 88 1/4° West 80 1/4 poles to a stone in Wilcox's line, thence with Wilcox's line North 2 3/4° East 87 poles to a stone in Robert's line, thence South 88 1/4° East with Robert's line 32 1/2 poles to Robert's corner a stone, thence South 70° East one and a half poles to a stone, one of the original corners, thence South 88 1/4° East 47 1/2 poles to the beginning, containing 43 4/5 acres.

Lot 7. Beginning at a stone in the West line of the railroad at H on plat, thence South 2 3/4° East 100 poles to a stone in the railroad line and in the original line, thence North 88 1/4° West 9 1/2 poles to stone, thence South 68 1/2° East 77 1/2 poles to a stone two hickory and dogwood, Wilcox's corner, thence with Wilcox's line North 2 3/4° East 73 1/2 poles to a stone and side line, thence South 88 1/4° East 80 1/4 poles to the beginning, containing for 40 1/4 acres.

To have and to hold all the right, title, interest and claim of the parties of the first part in and to said property to the said R. E. McDowell, his heirs and assigns forever. In witness whereof the said R. F. Hays as commissioner as aforesaid has affixed his signature the day and year first above written.
