In the censuses taken from 1870 through 1950, Bullitt County was divided into four districts which were named as follows: (1) Shepherdsville, (2) Mt. Washington, (3) Leaches, and (4) Pine Tavern. In some census years, separate counts were given for communities within the districts, but these count were included within the district totals.
These population statistics were taken from United States Bureau of the Census reports.
