On 26 Mar 1781, Richard May surveyed a large track containing 653 acres along both sides of Cox's Creek for David Mitchell and George Wilson. Then on 15 Dec 1802, Wilson, for himself and for the heirs of Mitchell who was deceased, signed the survey over to Henry Crist who obtained a deed to the land on 15 Dec 1805.
The images we have of the survey and the subsequent deed to Henry Crist are of poor quality, and we can't be certain of many of the degree readings or pole distances. We have included here an enlarged version of the survey drawing to help with locating the survey. We do know that the tract lay along Cox's Creek in Bullitt County.
