John May's 6533 Acre Survey

On 31 Oct 1786, Robert Breckinridge surveyed 6533 acres for John May that lay along the Ohio River north of the Salt River, and extending eastward to cross over Pond Creek. Part of the tract on the east side of Pond Creek would later be located in Bullitt County.

Surveyed for John May 6533 acres of land by virtue of an entry made the 19th of December 1782 on part of a treasury warrant No. 9652, lying in Jefferson County on the Ohio and adjoining Mrs. Mary Byrd's survey of 5000 acres on the lower line. Beginning at two ashes and a white oak on the bank of the river and running with the said line S 61° E 880 poles crossing Pond Creek to a sugar tree and white oak, S 7° W 1290 poles to a beech and sugar tree, N 61° W 880 poles crossing Pond Creek and two other branches to two elm and two hoopwoods on the bank of the Ohio at the mouth of a small branch and up the meanders of the Ohio N 5° E 104 poles, North 304 poles, N 17° E 59 poles, N 6° E 52 poles, N 15° E 320 poles, N 19° E 71 poles, N 15° E 58 poles, N 5° E 235 poles, N 15° W 80 poles to the beginning.
