Thomas Joyce's Heirs to R. J. Meyler - Shepherdsville Lots 39-40 - Part 5

On 28 Jun 1877, the Circuit Court Master Commissioner sold parts of Thomas Joyce's estate to pay his debts. As a part of that sale, R. J. Meyler purchased the part of Shepherdsville lots 39 and 40 that earlier had been purchased by Joyce from A. H. Field's estate.

Meyler would sell it to Margaret Givens and her husband John on 7 Sep 1880.

Bullitt County Deed Book W, Pages 226-227

Whereas in the suit of Thomas Joyce's curator against Thomas Joyce's heirs and creditors, a judgment was rendered by the Bullitt Circuit Court on the 8th of June 1876 directing the master commissioner to sell so much of certain real property as would realize $452.27, and on the 5th October 1876 the master filed his report of said sale which was confirmed by the court on the 6th October 1876. From said report it appears that the commissioner advertised said sale as required by said judgment, and on the 17th July 1876 at the courthouse door of Bullitt County, Kentucky offered the property herein conveyed to the highest bidder where R. J. Meyler being such bought it for the sum of $200 on six month credit, and said purchase money having been paid the court on the 28th June 1877, ordered the master commissioner to execute a conveyance for said property to said R. J. Meyler.

Now in consideration of the premises and said sum of money and its interest, Francis Joyce, William Joyce, Sally Joyce and James Joyce by R. McConathy, master commissioner of the Bullitt Circuit Court, doth convey unto R. J. Meyler all their title to the property purchased by him as aforesaid, and which was ordered to be sold by said judgment and described as follows: the frame house and lot, a fractional lot on west side of Main Street and north side of an alley in Shepherdsville, Bullitt County, Kentucky bought by Thomas Joyce of R. H. Field and James M. Shanklin.

Witness the signature of the master commissioner this 28th Jun 1877. [signed by him]
