In 1895 William Sanders made out the following will. He was killed by a train on 3 Jul 1903. Read about it on another page.
Bullitt County Will Book J, Pages 301-302
I William Sanders, of the County of Bullitt and State of Kentucky, do hereby make this my last will and testament (to-wit)
I bequeath to my daughter Melissa Vaughn to her and her bodily heirs one-fifth of my estate both real and personal, after my wife Myranda Sanders' dower is set apart for her.
I bequeath to my son Joseph Sanders one-fifth to him and his bodily heirs after my wife's dower is set apart.
I bequeath to my daughter Aretta Griffith one-fifth to her and bodily heirs after my wife's dower is set apart.
I bequeath to my son Peter Sanders one-fifth to him and his bodily heirs.
I bequeath to my daughter Ethel Sanders one-fifth to her and her bodily heirs.
I bequeath to my daughter Anna E. Brown one dollar to her and her heirs.
I appoint my son Peter Sanders executor without bond, if my wife and the executor can agree they need not have a sale on division for five years.

State of Kentucky, Bullitt County Sat.
I W. B. Tilden, clerk of the Bullitt County Court in the state aforesaid, certify that the foregoing last will and testament of William Sanders ws on July 13th 1903 produced in open court and proved by the oath of J. M. Barrall to have been signed and acknowledged by William Sanders to be his last will and testament in his presence and in the presense of J. V. Prewitt; that they attested same at his request, in his presence, and in the presence of each other, the signature of J. V. Prewitt was proved to be his genuine signature, full capacity of mind of said testator at the time of making said will was also proved and same being fully proved as required by law is admitted to probate and orders to be recorded as the last will and testament of William Sanders, which with this certificate I have truly recorded in my office this 1st day of August 1903.
